Back by popular demand, experience gastronomy à la française this May & June and celebrate all things French at Grand Hyatt Hong Kong, featuring a series of French GourMay staycation and dining offerings.



French GourMay Staycation Package

Immerse in a French staycation experience with the French GourMay Staycation Package in May and June, where Francophiles can savour a 4-course dinner menu inspired by the exceptional culinary finesse of classic French cuisine at Grand Hyatt Steakhouse.

Crafted by hotel Executive Chef Soren Lascelles, the set dinner menu (original price: HK$990+ per person) features a slew of French gourmet delights, including an exquisite Salade de Homard (poached lobster salad, smoked potato, avocado, mache lettuce), and a traditional Soupe à L’Oignon (French onion soup, brandy, gruyere cheese crouton).

For main course, steak lovers can go for the Fillet Steak au Poivre (beef tenderloin, green peppercorn sauce, truffle potato mousseline, white asparagus), while those fancy a taste of the ocean can choose the Loup de Mer Mariniere (oven roasted seabass fillet, mussels, sauce mariniere). Prefer to share a magnificent piece of wagyu steak at Steakhouse? Upgrade to the Entrecote au Poivre, a 400g French trimmed Mayura M9 Wagyu sirloin for just HK$400.

End the meal on a sweet note with a flaky Mille Feuille au Chocolat et Vanille (64% manjari chocolate and vanilla, puff pastry, caramelized pecans) by Executive Pastry Chef Smita Grosse. Wine aficionados can also choose to savour the menu with the wine-pairing option, with extraordinary French wines from Côtes du Rhône and other regions handpicked together by Area Chief Sommelier Maxime Duval and Steakhouse resident sommelier Ric Choi.

Apart from the dining experience, guests can luxuriate in an elegantly appointed harbour view room while enjoying a series of French-themed in-room amenities, including a bottle of Minuty M Rosé Wine (750ml) from the Côtes de Provence region, artisanal French pastries and fresh strawberries, plus a set of toiletries from Parisian luxury brand Balmain.

Priced from HK$3,180 +10% per room per night, the package includes:

  • A one-night stay in an elegantly appointed Harbour View Room
  • Up to 24-hour stay for Sunday to Thursday arrivals (excluding Public Holidays and Pubic Holiday Eves, earliest check-in time: 2:00 PM; latest check-out time: 6:00 PM; not applicable to bookings with club access and suites)
  • A French-themed set dinner menu for two persons at Grand Hyatt Steakhouse on the day of arrival (priced at HK$990+ per person) (View menu)
  • A series of French-themed in-room amenities including:
    • Artisanal French pastries
    • A bottle of Minuty M Rosé Wine (750ml)

  • Daily breakfast for registered guests
  • Special rate of HK$350 per vehicle for 24-hour valet parking (maximum 1 vehicle per room)

French GourMay Buffet at Tiffin

From now until 31 May 2022, Tiffin’s continental dinner buffet spread will be enhanced with a series of classic French gourmet items in celebration of the French GourMay festival. Expect traditional items such as Escargots à la bourguignonne (baked snails, herb butter), Foie gras poèlé, compote de fraises (pan seared foie gras, strawberry compote) and Canard à l’orange (roasted duck, Grand Marnier duck jus) during dinner buffet. Meanwhile, lunch buffet and Sunday brunch buffet will also be upgraded with a handful of French gastronomic delights.

French GourMay Pastries at Chocolatier

Drop by the hotel’s Chocolatier and bring home a taste of France, as hotel Executive Pastry Chef Smita Grosse presents a collection of exquisite French pastries from 2 – 31 May 2022. Don’t miss out on the classic Flan Parisian in two sizes (2-pound whole cake, HK$428 / individual size, HK$68), a French custard tart with a flaky and buttery crust and a rich and heart-warming vanilla custard filling. Other refreshing creations inspired by traditional French craftsmanship include an elevated Saint Honoré ($68), the lemon-shaped Citron Jaune (HK$68), and the Fromage Blanc double-baked cheesecake (HK$68).
