A FORTUNE FEAST AT ONE HARBOUR ROAD

A FORTUNE FEAST AT ONE HARBOUR ROAD

20 January - 1 February

To welcome the Year of the Dragon, One Harbour Road’s Chef de Cuisine and Executive Chinese Chef Li Shu Tim has created a festive menu featuring Chinese New Year delicacies with special names symbolising luck and fortune.

Chef Tim has combined both traditional Chinese festive ingredients with innovative recipe to create the Chinese New Year menu. Traditional items include Steamed Black Mushrooms Filled with Shrimp Mousse and Egg White Sauce (the Chinese name represents joy and happiness) and Braised Whole Conpoy with Sun-dried Oysters and Chinese Lettuce (the Chinese name represents good fortune).

More creative items include Deep-fried Rice Paper Rolls with Diced Sea Whelk; Assorted Meat and Mild Curry Sauce (the Chinese name represents triumph); Pan-fried Jumbo Scallops and Pea Shoots with Abalone Sauce in Stone Bowl (the Chinese name represents Happiness) and more.

A Chinese New Year set menu is also available which features Braised Bird’s Nest Soup with Fresh Crab Meat and Conpoy; Baked Abalone Wedges with Sun-dried Oysters Served with Puff Pastry and Pan-fried New Year Glutinous Rice Cake with Coconut and Egg.

The Dragon is the only legendary creature in Chinese zodiac and symbolises fortune, energy and power. Chinese also believe a good start of the year will bring a successful and prosperous year ahead. In Chinese custom, a family dinner to reunite all family members at the end of the year and another gathering with lucky dishes to begin a year are both essential.
